Situated just off the A47, approximately 5 miles from Norwich, the village of Costessey boasts a rich and varied history. Dating back to the late Bronze Age and Roman times, Costessey is also mentioned in the Domesday Book.

In the 11th Century it was awarded to the Count of Brittany, a commander at the Battle of Hastings, by William the Conqueror and over the following 500 years, ownership passed through a variety of families. In 1546, its manor, Costessey Hall, was granted to Anne of Cleves by Henry VIII.

Today this attractive village offers an ideal environment for modern living. Within easy access of local shops and schools, and with the beautiful Norfolk countryside to the west, a short drive or bus ride east takes you into the centre of Norwich, with all the city has to offer.
