Hawkhead Village is a handsome new development centred around a sympathetically restored local landmark. One that’s just minutes from all that Paisley’s vibrant centre has to offer. This historically significant site was originally the home of the Hawkhead Hospital. Opened in 1936 as a bastion of ‘health through fresh air and sunlight’, it was designed by Thomas Tait, one of Scotland’s – indeed Britain’s – most influential architects. Many of the original hospital facilities have achieved ‘Listed’ status, an indication of their importance.
